Your dispute

What’s happening with your dispute, step by step

What each stage of your progress bar means and roughly how long it takes.

The short version

You upload a credit report, we review it and identify items that may be worth disputing, you choose which ones and approve the letters, we mail them, and then we wait for the credit bureaus to respond before checking what changed. Every step below is one part of that loop.

The stages

  • Getting started — before your first round begins, you may see a short review period required by law. This protects you; it is not a delay we control and cannot be sped up.
  • Uploading your report — you provide a copy of your credit report so it can be reviewed.
  • Review — we look through your report for items that may be inaccurate, outdated, or worth challenging.
  • Choosing items — you decide which of the items found are worth disputing. Nothing is disputed without your say.
  • Letters drafted — dispute letters are written for the items you chose.
  • Awaiting approval — someone on our team gives the letters a final check before they go out.
  • Mailed — your letters are physically mailed to the credit bureaus or furnishers.
  • Waiting — bureaus generally have about 30 days to respond once they receive a dispute. This is the normal, expected wait — nothing is stuck.
  • Checking results — once the waiting period ends, you upload a fresh copy of your report and we compare it against the original to see exactly what changed.

Why it takes weeks, not days

Mail has to physically arrive, bureaus have a legal response window measured in weeks, and results can only be confirmed against a NEW report — not a guess. There is no way to shortcut any of that, and no legitimate service can promise otherwise.

If something looks stuck

Check Delivery status first — it shows exactly where your letters and our emails to you actually stand. If it still looks wrong after that, use Contact support from your portal and tell us what you were expecting to see.
