Running disputes

Why the next round step is unavailable

Rounds move through fixed states. Here is what each "not valid from" message is telling you.

One round at a time

"Round {n} is still in state ‘{state}’ — it must complete or close before a new round starts." A client can only have one round in flight. Finish or close the current one first.

The step you clicked isn’t the step that’s due

Messages of the form "The latest round is not awaiting an AI audit" mean the round has already moved past that step, or has not reached it yet. The client detail page always shows the action that is actually due — use that button rather than an older one.

The reinvestigation window has not elapsed

"Reinvestigation window runs until {date}; re-import not due yet." Bureaus get a statutory window to investigate. Re-importing early produces a diff that proves nothing, so it is refused until the window closes. The date shown is when you can proceed.

Report import problems

"Could not parse report" means the uploaded file was not in a format the parser recognizes. Re-export the report from the source and upload it again.

"Audit findings are missing — re-run the AI audit" means the round lost its audit results. Re-running the audit is safe and is the fix.
