Missing mailing address
"This client needs a mailing address (line 1, city, ZIP) before letters can be drafted." Bureaus will not process a dispute without the consumer’s address. Add it on the client’s detail page and draft again.
No items selected
"Select at least one item to dispute" or "No dispute items were selected for this round." Go back to the audit results and tick the items you want to dispute.
The citation gate rejected the draft
"Generated letter contains a citation outside the vetted set" means the AI tried to cite a statute that is not on our approved list, and we threw the draft away rather than mail it. "Generated letter body is implausibly short" means the draft came back too thin to send.
Both are safety checks working correctly. Simply draft again — these are usually one-off generation failures. If it fails repeatedly for the same client, contact support with the client id; do not try to work around it.
Approval
"Letters await approval by an owner or admin (staff cannot approve mailings)." A human has to approve every mailing, and that human must hold the owner or admin role. Team members can prepare everything else but cannot approve.
This is not configurable. Nothing in this product mails automatically.
AI provider errors
"No AI API key is configured for this workspace" or "The AI provider rejected the request" point at the AI settings, not at your data. AI is normally bundled at the platform level — if you see these, contact support rather than adding your own key.
